Q: just how much potassium should a person with heart valve replacement take daily

Hi Irene,

 

This is something you need to discuss with your MD.  It's affected by the medication you are taking (such as diuretics) and possibly other factors related to your surgery.

 

I highly recommend getting in touch with your MD to find out if you need extra potassium or not.
