Possibility of femoral artery insert rather than open heart procedure makes delay necessary. When shortness of breath hits (from stenosis of aortic valve)
what action or drug can intervene? already taking 90 mg isosorbide mononitrate per day.

Hi Allen,
I encourage you to speak with your physician or pharmacist about possible medication options. If your physician suspects you are at risk while you wait for the surgery, he/she will likely prescribe whatever is necessary and available to keep you safe.
Best of luck,
Monica M. Skidmore, MS, RD, LDN
