Hi Anna:   Yes, its possible that a heart attack could affect the balance.  If the pumping function of the heart is reduced, less blood flows to the brain and this could affect the nervous system.   Sometimes a slow heart beat comes with a heart attack and this could also create a balance problems.   The medications used for heart disease can also influence the balance.   I hope this helps.   Dr. Kirk Laman www.drlaman.com
