Hi Sunshine,
If you are not satisfied with your physician's treatment plan, there is nothing wrong with seeking a second opinion. Even if you are unable to identify the cause of your elevated CRP, you should still discuss treatment measures to lower CRP with your physician. Some potential treatments are a combination of coenzyme Q10 with vitamin E, statin meds, increase physical activity, and/or fish oil. Work with your physician to determine the appropriate treatment for you.
All the best,
Lisa Nelson RD

Following my CRP test, my doctor had me to do a stress test which came back normal as well as a colonoscopy which could not be completed because there was a "bend" in my colon that the instrument was not able to get past. I know you don't know my history, but my doctor has said at this point there is no way to know why my CRP is elevated. What would you suggest I should do, let it go or find a new doctor? Thank you for your time.
