Hi Wayno,

This is a great question to ask your physician, specifically your cardiologist.  There are several different medications that are used to lower cholesterol and blood pressure, help control diabetes, reduce feeling of angina, and thin the blood to prevent clots and blockages from occuring.  Here is a link that discusses several different medications used for heart disease.
