Topics:Isordil

My Mother is 86 yrs old and had 2 heart attacks last year.  She lost 50% of her heart function.  She is now is 26 pills a day - isordil is one of them.  Mother is also diabetic and the cost of her drugs keeps increasing.  If you offer any type of assistance, she would appreciate it.

Patient assistance for low income people is provided on many levels including from the federal government, state government, local governments, and private organizations. Typically services are coordinated through an agency that is local to the patient, such as a social worker in the nearest city, county, or regional office. These programs go by a number of names, such as Medicaid. Your local coordinator is your best bet to accessing these resources.
In addition, a number of drug companies offer special programs for those in need who may not be able to afford their medications. Going through the list of medications and the manufacturers may reveal opportunities for relief from some of the costs.
