Q: What's this odd 'jabbing' ache I sometimes get on my lower chest?

It's not on my heart which is further up, it doesn't seem to be triggered by anything specific (deep breath or high pulse). It just seems to randomly give a sort of 'jabby' ache every so often, sometimes it only lasts a few seconds and soemtimes it can last for about 20 minutes. it doesn't seem to be especially serious as it doesn't cause me to go out of breath, cringe or stop me from moving, but the frequency of the aches do irritate me slightly. I'm 16 by the way.

Hi bart95,

I encourage you to talk to your physician about your chest ache.  Here is a link to some information on Sharp Chest Pain as well as an interactive Symptom Checker that you may find helpful.

I will ask mum about seeing a Doc, but the symptoms arn't really 'sharp' and are more like a dull ache. And it's not linked to anything (Breathing, high pulse, after a meal) and it occurs completly randomly.
