I have the same problem.  IBS and high CRP.I have found from reading on the internetthat IBS is mainly a problem of soluble fiber and insoluable fiber.  If I stay away from insoluble fiber, I am OK.  Don't eat cereals orbreads with bran or other insoluable ingredients.Don't eat nuts, or popcorn, or the skin on abaked potato or the skin on a tomato.  Stay awayfrom grapes, they have an insoluble skin.  Checkthe internet for everything that has insoluble fiber.  Stay with soluble fiber like oatmeal, pasta, cornmeal, rice, white potatos (no skin)or yams (no skin).  The skin on a pinto bean hasinsoluable fiber and can be deadly.  Tremendousgas and and explosive diarhhea.  Stay awayfrom chili beans.  Try to control what you eatand check out a book called "Eating for IBS"by Heather Van Vorous.
