Q: Started Lotrel a couple years ago. I feel slightly ill all the time. I feel a sense of doom and disorientation. Can I stop this med? My doc won't answer, thinks I'm crazy.

Had cardio stress echo and catheterization-- all clear, no reason for chest pain. Low neutrophils, hi eosinophils. Fatigue, malaise, depression, anxiety, blurred vision. Test results are normal, so doc won't work with me.

Hi Quadkat:

If you feel your side effects could be from the Lotrel, I recommend you asking your doctor if he/she would be okay you stopping your medication for a short while to see if your symptoms resolve. You would want to be sure to monitor your blood pressure regularly if you do stop the medication for a trial period. If your symtpoms get better your physician then could try other blood pressure medications that may work for you.

Take care,

Tara
