Q: My father has been in Bi Gemini heart rhythym and only has 15% of heart function what are his option

He is a 59yo.  With history of heart disease.  First heart attack was at age 42 and he had three more to follow with the last in 2001.  He has had a bi-pass sx.  Not for sure how many graphs were done.  I am not current on the meds he is taking.  I do know that the hospital stopped the Coreg he was taking.  He was admitted to the hospital on Friday with a tri gemini heart beat and chest pain.  He is currently in a bi gemini heart rhythym and having falls in his heart rate the lowest was 35bpm.  I would like to know with the history and the facts of him only having 15% of his total heart function.  Will his heart be able to with stand a steady heart rate from a pacemaker??  If not, what would be our next option?
