Low blood pressure during exercise

I did read another article on low blood pressure and exercise but the answer did not seem to apply to me.

If I check my blood pressure before hard exercise - it is about 115 over 70 (fine), then I do some severe cardio-when complete, I check it again ang it is around 80 over 50.  This is quite a concern, this seems exceptionally low, what could be the problem and why is this happening?  My heart rate at this time was about 115bpm (at time of reading) - during exercise - it was about 170

My concern is that at "times" when a higher blood pressure would be an advantage, it appears as though by having a higher heart rate - my blood pressure has dropped quite signifantly.

Hi Michael,

I recommend discussing this with your physician to determine the cause and if it's a concern for you.  Here is an article that discusses blood pressure and heart rate.  It doesn't discuss exercise, but I thought you may be interested.
