Hi, First of all ANY help to point me in the right direction is appreciated. Well here goes my story..
I am 23 years of age no real family history other than one family member on my fathers side having a pacemaker fitted. I also am under no stress at work and have stopped smoking for 2 years (smoked for 5).
Used to exercise 6-7 times a week but can't as feel dizzy and get chest pains.
I had severe chest pains for a number of weeks over a year ago I was in an out of A+E (ER) for a number of days one day after blood tests I was admitted to hospital, later they said that the blood tests were negative and this pain may be due to something called pericarditis. I then took anti-inflammatory medication for a number of months. This settled it down a little bit but never has cured it. I have been getting chest pain and palpitations daily.
I had the following tests:
Holter Monitor for 1 week: lowest hate rate 34 BPM where I noted feeling dizzy no significant arrhythmia.
2x Echo: no visible problems. lots of ECG's: first few showed SVT but after this no issues.
All these negative tests leave me lost and I do not know how to narrow this any further down. Currently the symptoms I have are:
chest pain in the center of my chest and feels pressure like/sometimes a tickle like feeling.
Palpitations, feels like it beats differently in throat and catches my breath whilst speaking.
Odd drops in blood pressure and a heart rate of about 34 BPM (Randomly)
Shaky and sometimes dizzy and occasionally very sleepy/lethargic.
The doctors do not know what is wrong and some think the pain is not heart related however I never had palpitations/drops in blood pressure before this chest pain. I am due to go on holiday in April to a exotic location and a would like to minimize these feelings before going. Can anyone help me or offer any advice of what I should do next? Any help is appreciated.
