Q: i need to get an epidural for neck pain i was told to stop taking my plavix for a week i have had stent surgery in august am i putting my self at risk

It is standard to discontinue medications that impact the blood clotting factors prior to surgery to reduce the risk of excessive bleeding. However, I recommend discussing your concerns with your physician.
