fae,   I am very concerned about your symptoms of arm and chest pain.  Chest pain can be a difficult problem to diagnose as people experience pain in different ways.  Women with heart disease often describe their pain differently than men, making it even more difficult to make a diagnosis.   Chest pain is a symptom that needs immediate evaluation.  You should call your doctor now and ask to be seen.  If this is not possible, then a trip to the emergency room is in order.  If this is heart disease, the earlier it is diagnosed the sooner you can receive treatment and avoid serious problems.   Best wishes.   Martin Cane, M.D.
