Topics:pain in arm and sleepyness

two weeks ago I spent a night in the hospital for chesst pain.  Once they put nitro gel on my chest and gave me a shot to thin my blood, the pain went away.Today, I have pain going down my left arm and I am extremely sleepy. My husband had 5 bypasses done on Thursday and I am sure some of my problem is that I am tired. The last five years I have been dealing with Neurocardiogenic syncope with sick sinus syndrone along with restless legs, severe osteo arthritis and a few other problems.  When I first got sick they put in a dual chamber pacemaker, but I still passout occassionally.Should I be concerned about the pain in left arm and wanting to sleep all the time?

Hi Dee deLassus,

I encourage you to discuss your symptoms with your physician.  You may also want to review the signs/symptoms of a heart attack to compare with what you're experiencing - http://www.healthcentral.com/heart-disease/patient-guide-44510-6.html.

All the best,

Thanks, I knew what I should do, but guess I just needed to hear it from someone else.
