Q: what are the risk of bypass surgery to stroke patient

actually my father in law recently have been affected with stroke. But now he get cure and can see improvement within himself. now he wana to undergo bypass surgery. is it will give him any risk later...he is about 50 above...

Hi Vicky,

 

All surgery carries some risk. Before your father-in-law undergoes bypass surgery he should know that it is only temporary. A couple of years after bypass surgery those arteries will be clogged, then what will he do?  Heart disease can be prevented, and even reversed. Get a second opinion.
