Q: does flax seed effect thyroid hormon

i heard that consuming flax seed reduce thyroid hormon

Hi Suzan,

 

I have not seen a study linking flaxseed to reduced thyroid function. Flaxseed contains fatty acids that are beneficial to glandular health. There is concern with soy products interfering with thyroid function. However, never hurts to discuss with your physician to see if he/she knows of a connection.
