Hello My father has a severe calcium build up in & on  the artieries in his heart and surrounding ventricles. They have said it was and is still caused by a severe heart attack he had at an early age of 49 he is 65 now. It basically hardens the heart inside and in around your artieries causing high blodd pressure/low pressure. eratic heart beats too low or too high. Also the calcium continues to develop as ur heart weakens. Having a triple bypass surgery usually always causes the calcium because your heart is put through a great anount stress. Eating right, moderate exercise, annual check ups every 2 years of your heart, having angio cardiograms goes in, takes pictures and checks your arteries throughly.  If there is calcium or blockage they will use a ballon technique (angioplasty)  open it up and place a stent thatll basically strain the blood and blood flow to the heart. Theres really from what i have been told by wonderful docs there is no way to protect the calcium buildup on your heart after a major heart attack and triple bypass surgery.  it is typical but can slow down the build up with the correct health care and treatments. Dont let it go and ruin it more, my dads heart works at a 25% range out of 100 now due to all the major stress and incidents he has had w/his heart. Within 2 years it went down to 20% which is inbelieveable. also not too mention he has sleep apnea, congestive heart failure, and arthritis/gout. i hope this was of any help to any of you. Please be safe ,take care of yourself, love your body, love your heart its what keeps you alive and well. Best of luck to everyone suffering from any heart condition its a matter of life and death you are playing with.  ~~Connie~~  Laughing
