Q: heart skipping a beat

I went to my diabetes dr. was told i am hypoglycemic. when the nurse checked my vitals my heart skipped a beat first time someone notice. what should i do? My grandpa died from a massive heart attack,my mom has mitral valve prolapse. should i be worried about a first time notice that my heart skipped? I always had symptoms of heartburn and indegestion. Even sharp stinging pain in my chest like it hurt to breathe i would have to barley breathe til it stopped.

Your doctor is the best resource to answer your question about the skipped heart beat (i.e. possible causes, do you need further evaluation, etc.).
