Hi Beverly Parent,
Most patients' goal blood pressure is to be less then 120/80. If a person's blood pressure is significantly higher then this number, their doctor may have them try taking a medication to help lower it. There are a number of things people can do- besides taking medicine- to help lower blood pressure, such as exercise, eating healthy, and restricting the amount of salt in their diet. In your case, adding exercise to your daily activities may have been enough to lower your blood pressure to your goal. I'm sure your doctor will continue to monitor you, and put you back on a medication if he feels it is necesary. For now, I would just recommend to continue exercising!
Thanks for your question!
