Q: I have bigeminy and slow heart beats. What can I do?

I suffered a mild heart attack in Dec. 2004 with a stent placed in my right coronary arterie.  I have done well until recently being placed into the cardiac unit of a large hospital due to slow heart beats (in the low forties), and erractic heart beating.  Causing weakness, lethary, etc.  Have had major test run such as echo=cardio, induced stress test, heart monitoring, etc.  I was diagnosed with Bigeminy and slow heart rate that was said to not be connected in cause.  Is there nothing that can be done?  I was told that a pace-maker would not help in my case.
