A stent is a tube that is surgically placed inside your artery in order to keep it open for the blood to flow through. If you dont live a healthy lifestyle then the chances you have another heart attack are far better than if you live a healthy lifestyle. Basically, if you get the stent and live very healthy, no smoking, healthy foods, plenty of exercise then your chances of getting another heart attack are minimal, however even if you get the stent but you continue to live unhealthily then you run a much higher risk of a second heart attack.
