0.5-0.49 ng/ml: suggestive of myocardialinjury or low level of myocardial injury secondary to ischemic as well as to non/ischemic etiologies or low level of myocardial injury secondary to ischemic as well as to non/ischemic etiologies,including:

acs: unstable angina

chf: myocarditis

copd: late presenting ami

pe: sepsis

there is evidence thatthe presence of elevated troponin levels regardless of cause are ass. with higher risk for short term future events 0.50 ng/ml sugg of myocardial injury consistent with ami
