Hi Mike,   I agree with you MD.  You want to get your total cholesterol back under 200 and your LDL (bad) cholesterol to drop below 130.   It is great that you are staying active.  Physical activity helps keep your HDL (good) cholesterol above 60, which is where you want it to be.  Do a quick assessment of your workout intensity to make sure you do not slack off.  You want your heart rate to stay elevated to get the most "bang for your buck".   Additional steps to take:   1. Maintain or achieve a healthy weight. You did not include your height, so I am not able to say if your weight is where it needs to be. You can calculate your BMI here.   2. If you want to lower total cholesterol and LDL (bad) cholesterol, you need to decrease your saturated fat and trans fat intake. Replacing saturated and trans fats with unsaturated fats will raise HDL (good) and lower total cholesterol.   Use this link to learn more about trans fats and saturated fats.   All the best, Lisa Nelson, RD, LN Lower Cholesterol, Control Blood Pressure, Lose Weight
