I have been on Rovustatin for about 18 months ( 20mg a day) Un til recently this was combined with Ezetimibe, but my cardiologist has taken me off Ezetimibe in the light of a recent study.  I have long suffered from a relatively mild form of Renaud's disease - but in recent mon ths this has worsened dramatically  and any slight variation in temperature causes my fingers to turn purple and then white when I lose all feeling. I also have bouts when my internal body temperature appears to drop and I  have what used to be called "the chills", ie rigor.  Is there a connection  between this and Rovustatin. I am also on Thyroxine, Prednisolone (2mg) Anaestrozole and Omeprazole.

Raynaud’s phenomenon is a disorder that can cause the arteries to different parts of the body usually the extremities to spasm and restrict blood flow.  This can cause pain and numbness in those areas.  I am not specifically aware of rosuvastatin causing Raynaud’s.   However, many of the other “statin” class of cholesterol lowering drugs have been shown to cause a syndrome similar to lupus, which can have Raynaud’s as part of its syndrome.
