Q: mild/trace valve regurgitation;chest pain;heart murmur;lightheadedness upon over exertion

I sometimes experience chest pain. My Dr gave me a small dose Rx for anxiety, .25mg of Xanax that I take prn. I had a stress test. A sonogram revealed that I have a heart murmur and mild regurgitation on the mitral valve with trace regurgitation on the other three. I find that I experience lightheadedness sometimes when I have overdone. Any suggestions?

Hi TheresaGHW,

Here is a link to a little information on lightheadedness - http://www.healthcentral.com/ency/408/003093trt.html.  I recommend discussing with your physician to determine your treatment options.

All the best,
