pain from middle of chest into middle of back

I had my gallbladder removed on 4/3/08 and in the past 2 weeks I've been havin severe pain from my insion under my breasts into the middle of my back. The dr. had me take a ct test and it came back to where iI have an inflamed colon. Is this possible and what do you think might be the cause?...
