Q: Super blood pumping?

I am very unsure how to explain the sensations I am having lately.  There are two and I will put them in seperate questions.

1. Sometimes when I am in slight waking or just drifting off to sleep, always while lying down and barely concious, I suddenly awaken with an intense adrenaline rush accompanied by what I presume to be the blood pumping so hard hard through my body that it feels like a small animal is running around inside my mattress and bouncing against my body, or another way to describe it is, like there is an earthquake shaking me around.

2. The second problem is when I go to sleep most everynight, my feet get tremors and I swear there are mice running around on my blankets or in my mattress.  And this causes me to jump up in alarm.  When it first happened I went so far as to sleep the other way on the mattress truly believing there was a nesting mouse in the mattress.  After 2 years of worsening I can safely say its not the case.

My doctor has no interest in hearing about it any longer as all my health checks out fine, save my high cholesterol.  I am on my way to a specialist on april 21 for thyroid help considering I have had a partial thyroidectomy and supposedlly never needed any additional meds or hormones according to the current tests, as well as old tests.  However, I suspect my very high cholesterol goes hand in hand with the goiter now growing on the thyroid half I have left.  Could problems 1 and 2 be connected in any way to thyroid problems or should I seek heart help.  Is there a better way to describe them so i don't sound so crazy?

As far as the goiter, well since the first operation it has been 4 years, and it started growing last year.  Since the Op my passion for life is nill.  I lost most of my drive and want to lay down and give up, but I am a fighter and will never give up.  Its just hard to find that person in me anymore.

I have super low blood pressure and its never been high.  All other tests were normal except vitamin D deficiant I think.
