Hi SYL,

I think part of your question got cut off, but here is some information about chest pain that may help answer your possible question.

Sharp chest pain

I do encourage you to see your physician about the pain.  While it may or may not be a sign of heart problems, it could be a sign of something else that needs to be treated such as pneumonia, a broken rib, or it may be something like a pulled muscle, etc.

Best of luck,

Monica M. Skidmore, MS, RD

Syl, just wondering what your diagnosis was, as my husband has been having a pain on left side at base of ribs, becomes severe when he lowers his chin toward his chest).  Please advise
