My name is Mrs. Madhu and my age is 57 years. I have diabetes from last 14 years and in 2004 i found out that my heart efficiency had decreased by 25%.In 2004 I visited a nearby hospital due to some complications. They told me to undergo angiography.

I also have hyperthyroid and having thyroxin-100 one time in morning.I have thyroid after the birth of my first child i.e 1983.

I want to know my heart's condition at present? I can't go through angiography again.

Hi Megha,

I encourage you to see your primary care physician or cardiologist to run some tests that can determine how your heart is functioning and to see if treatment (angiography or otherwise) is needed.  Only your physician can run the appropriate tests to determine your heart health.

Best of luck,

Monica M. Skidmore, MS, RD, LDN
