Hi Karen Ann,   Your MD and cardiologists are most familiar with your specific situation, so they are the best source for guidance to treat your high blood pressure. Continue to work with them. It can take some trial and error before the best treatment option is figured out.   That being said, I recommend two "natural" steps you can take to improve your blood pressure control.   1. Incorporate more omega 3 fatty acids into your daily diet. Omega 3's reduce arterial inflammation and lower blood pressure. You can learn more here - Top 5 Omega 3 Sources to Lower Cholesterol. 2. Consider increasing your celery intake. Kind of a "food as medication" approach. Your risk of side effects is minimal and you have the potential to lower your diastolic blood pressure 2.5 mm Hg. Learn more here - Lower High Blood Pressure: Use Celery for More than just Weight Loss.   Of course, the above two suggestions are based on you already having a solid foundation to promote a lower blood pressure (physically active, limited salt intake, ideal body weight, etc.).   Always discuss all supplements with your MD.   All the best,   Lisa Nelson, RD, LN 8 Essential Steps to Lower Cholesterol Naturally
