Does Chelation therapy really work on plaque in the aerteries?

does chelation therapy realy work or is it a hoax?I have had a recent stroke and still have a 100% blocked right carotid aertery. The doctors have decided I am not a good candidate for an enderectomy operation, since the brain damge has already occured. my left side is still not back to normal but otherwise I've been blessed and have recovered pretty well. any suggestions would bre appreciated. AN Angiogram did show some new cellateral bood vessels have formed to supply some blood to my left side/brain area. Thanks much, Steve F.
