Q: A question for Dr Davis about Lipids/vasospsm/ treatments

WOULD LIKE TO ASK DR DAVIS A QUESTION, I HAVE BEEN ON A 3 YR JOURNEY TO FIND Cause of ANGINA TYPE PAINS THAT ARE CREATING ALOT OFS TRESS IN MY LFE, IAM A 42 YR OLD MALE- FAIRLY ACTIVE, CURRENT MEDS I TAKE ARE- METOPOROL- SYNVASTATIN, NIACIN ,ALDMINIPINE (NORVASC) FISH OILS AND 1 ASPIRIN. MY LIPIDS ARE CHOsLETEROL- 159, HDL 25, LDL-69, TRYGLICERIDES 324.  iam 6'3 weight about 239. non smoker- no drugs- lite alcohol- lite cofffee exercise every day for min 30 minutes of cardio and life .stretch- i get chest pain/tighntess almost every day,  the pains and symptoms vary- let me explain briefly

1) sharp quick pain in chest lasts 1-2 seconds- followed by sweating or increased heart rate sometimes weakness- maybe hard to walk/wekness- goes away 5-10 minutes

2) sharp pain or tighness in upper kneck-  anxiety weakness need to lie down

3) today- was an example of exercise- playing tennis after an hor- slow tighntess in kneck- jaw.mild chest but weak and ligh headed....stopeed playing went to ER- SYMPTOMS AWORSE WHEN WALKING- finally dissipated  after hr.

the symptoms normally are with out exertion- and start with sharp pain, then followed by some weakness

today i was playing tennis easy not too strenuous- after 1 hr,  I became weak, tighntness in jaw, back of kI neck- and mild chest tightness- ended up in ER, all tests we're normal- with slight increase in MK.

today was more scary- it eventually dissipated but these episodes are very worrisome,

i have had all the cardio work up you can get the "gold standard"  and all that has  been seen is  normal ateries- with myorcardial bridging, good infraction- NO other artery blockage. have had CT scan, echo,- stress test.... My Cardiologist is treating this is  vasospam so that is why the calcium block- but i also take beta blocker? is this good to do?  is the niacin and synvastatin appropriate to improve lipids.....my worry is i cant go extended lengths of time with out potential angina that is severe i have been an athlete- i try to run 10 15  minutes a day, normally woth out problem, but these pains and symptoms occur at rest sometimes- or with mild exertion. any thoughts on what my next step  should be?  is it necessary to take all these meds? if in fact these are spasms and there is no way of knowing..is it dangerous?  i  have done tons of research on this, and after 2+ years with good DR's no real answers?   your help is appreciated.
