Hi Ben,

Micardis is generally used to control blood pressure and it is sometimes used to help those at high-risk to lower their risk of having certain cardiovascular problems like a stroke or heart attack.  It is an angiotensin II receptor blocker that helps blood vessels to relax and widen.  Learn more about Micardis on the drug's website at this link.  Adalat is a calcium channel blocker and is generally used for blood pressure control.  Your doctor can determine which drug would be more suitable for you and if they can be used together in a treatment plan.
