Q: fluid drainage congestive heart failure

My grandmother is 82.  She has CHF and her condition has worsened in the past year. She has been told that draining the fluid from her body outside of using Lasix would be bad. They say if she goes to the hospital to have the procedure done that the fluid removal would be very temporary and would return twice as fast. Is this true?  In the past this was what made her feel better.  She feels terrible now and struggles to breathe.  Her legs and feet are very swollen.  Why is removing the fluid no longer the answer to make her feel well again?
