Hello.....I just wanted to add that as a registered nurse....sometimes the more you know, the worse it gets. I am referring to knowing specific knowledge of the human body, organs and some of their functions. I know that while attending nursing school during the cardiac unit I swore I was going to go into cardiac arrest at any moment. I too have suffered from heart palpitations ( racing heart, skipped beats) for probably 25 years now. At one point I had a stress tests...in addition to numerous EKG's that basically came up inconclusive. One doctor said " I see several premature contractions and tachycardia ( rapid heart beat) and I thought to myself " yeah, tell me something I don't know) but in any event.....among multiple other contributing causes.....as mentioned in many posts; caffeine, stress, an alteration in electrolytes ( particularly potassium), lack of specific things in the diet, too much of specific items in a diet, and the list can go on and on...but just reading and sharing experiences does seem to help considerably and I would like to thank everyone for their input.
