Hi all you helpfull people!   About 5 years ago I was sitting on the couch watching T.V, it was about 7pm, when I felt something wrong with my heart. It felt like it skipped a beat. This scared me, so I of course went to the ER. They actually cought this "skipped beat" and told me it was called PVC's. They said you are fine, you may need to be put on meds for it in the future if it continues. So 5 years has gone by, I am now 28, and the PVC's have stopped, except for the last two days. Yesterday, I was working on an essay for college and I felt my heart stop for a second, I got instantly got dizzy, then I felt like I lost my breath for a second, my face got kind of warm also. I thought, wow that was strange and kept going on with my work. Well, sadly this happend throughout the rest of the day. I went to bed and woke up this morning and felt fine. However, tonight I sat down and all of a sudden I felt the same thing happen; heart skip, then pound hard, then get dizzy, and loose my breath. Of course, I was a little concerned about this, so in turn it amped up the frequency of this issue. I took my pulse it was 78 beats per minute, and within that minute my heart skipped 3 times. This has been going on for about the last 3 hours. I was contemplating heading up to the ER again, but instead I thought I would research what this feeling was and I landed here. I just spent the last hour reading all of your stories and great advice, it has sincerly calmed me down, and wouldn't you know it I am no longer having these palputations of my heart. I will make an appointment to see my doctor to rule out any underlining issues, but for now I think all of your helpful words did the trick! Thank you all!!   I am a medical student right now, I was a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) for 3 years and a Medication Tech for 2 years. I have so much more to learn about the body and especially the heart, but If I find any new information I will pass on to maybe help another like you all have helped me.   ~Amanda~ =)
