Is mild enlargment of the heart a bad thing?

My father went to the doctor recently and had an x-ray done. The x-ray revealed that he has mild enlarging of the heart, and a little scarring in the right base of his lung, I am really worried about him I need to know what can be done to not make matters worse and if something can be done to make...
