what is the implication of dilated and global hypokinesia of LV? And grade 4 LV diastolic dysfunctin
I had a 2D echo done and the report gives following observations:
1. Dilated LV.
2. Global hypokinesia of LV.
3. Severe LV dysfunction.
4. Grade 4 LV diastolic disfunction.
I had a drug reaction for using Cifran, five years ago. And also had a phrenic nerve damage with right diphram being paralysed.
The left ventricle (LV) is the chamber of the heart that is charged with pumping blood through the body. When it is hypokinetic, it means it that the heart muscle fails to move enough to pump adequately to meet the oxygen demands of the body. Diastole refers to the time that the heart is “relaxed” and not contracting, giving it time to be filled with blood. When there is diastolic dysfunction, the heart wall is “stiff” and does not relax enough, which may not allow for adequate filling with blood. Both of these issues should be raised with an experienced cardiologist.
