Since I stopped taking Cozar, I constantly have an awkward feeling in my chest, is this normal?

Randy
11/07/08

I was 316 lbs. back in July. My blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and resting heart rate were all in line. 10/2, my BP went up to 130/90 and my weight was down to 307 lbs, cholesterol was 174(138 LDL,36 HDL),blood sugar was normal and resting heart rate was between 72-80 bpm. Doc stated step up your cardio to at least 4x a week. He checked my BP again(at my request) on 10/24. My weight was down to 297(treadmill 4x per week) and my BP was up 138/90 so he started me on 50mg of Cozaar for 1 month, but after 4 days it created discomfort in my upper chest. On 11/3 went to hospital at the direction of doc's after hours line for discomfort . My EKG was normal, bloodwork had no elevated enzyme level, heart and lungs were clear,BP was 120/70. Since I've stopped taking BP med, I continue to have a warm sensation on the left side of my chest(weight is now 290) what can this be? My resting heart rate is still 72-80 bpm on avg., no problem taking deep breaths, don't smoke, don't drink. Since 10/2 have stuck to a strict diet, any suggestions on this sensation?

Sorry, I don't have an answer just a question.  I have experienced a very similar sensation for about 3-4wks now.  Have you received any input from other sources aside from sight?

Regards,

j
