Q: Can a sharp pain on the right soulder blade area and above breast be a sign of heart problems?

Can a sharp pain on the right soulder blade area and above breast along with some shortnes of breath be a sign of heart problems? The pain being worst when breathing deep.

Hi Maria,

 

Generally sharp pain associated with deep breaths is not associated with a heart attack, but it can be a sign that something else is wrong, like a blood clot or pneumonia, but only your doctor can rule out a heart attack.  I suggest you follow up with your physician as soon as possible to determine what is causing the pains.
