If I lay down on my left side only, when I awake I will have terrible chest pain on that side. It will not hurt to touch, but it hurts to breathe. And it seems to be hurting if I just sit there. The pain does not radiate to arms at all and actually no where but that side of my chest. It seems to be under my ribs. If I take a deep breath I can feel the pain only on the left side and it feels like it's kind of swollen on the inside. This has been with me for about 12 years. I have tried to see a cardiologist with no findings and my doctor put me on a aspirin regimine with no help. I tried physical therapy because they thought it was a muscle but that never helped. Even if I just lay on my left side for 20 minutes on the couch, the pain will come and last for about 1-3 hours. Help me please!
