Q: A fib and tachycardia. If a fib is stopped, will tachycardia stop?

I had a fib and valve replacement.  After about 3 months, I developed tachycardia.

I take drugs:  atenolol, digoxin, and verapamil.  Only verapamil  slows the heart rate

even though the other 2 are supposed to slow the heart rate.
