Q: I have been taking Lipitor 40 mg since 2004 following triple bypass at age 44. I now have been diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis. Are there any clinical trials following these combinations?

Liver related side effects are connected to Lipitor, including hepatitis. Your doctor or pharmacist may be good resources to access the medical studies. Hepatitis should have been included on the list of potential side effects you receive from the pharmacist when picking up your prescription.
