gasping for a breath for over 30 minutes and then collapsing can that be considered a heart attack
My uncle in Italy just passed away the other day. His wife said that he woke unable to breathe he then went into the kitchen and opened up the refrigerator trying to get air. He started banging on the the table, but after 1 hour he collapsed and died. Hec omes from a small town in Sicily. He was 61 yrs old and in fairly good health. What could this be?
Im not an expert, but if he had been complaining of chest pains, along with this and shortness of breath at the same time,it's possible it could have been a Heart attack.Im not sure if he ever had any issues with his lungs at all as this could have possibly been related to a lung issue also,if he did have issues with his lungs. If he did it could have been that his lungs restricted enough not allowing enough air to maintain his body's functions such as his heart. If he did have lung issues it's possible that this might have been the problem,or a possible bloot Clot somewhere Im not positive, only your aunt would know more if he ever did have any lung issues.Sorry for your loss and your Aunts,Im so sorry to hear about that.
