Marie,   Thanks for your post.  It's difficult to tell you exactly what the cause of your discomfort is, but patients who have a prior history of heart disease need to have any  symptoms of chest pain evaluated by their phsycian.  After asking you questions and examining you, he is the best person to determine whether your discomfort could be from your heart.  If needed, he may suggest further studies to help determine this. So, my suggestion is make an appointment with your doctor for an evaluation and some answers.   Best wishes.   Martin Cane, M.D.
