Q: i have had a normal ekg and enzymes but am still having chest pains and shortness of breath

i am 36 over weight started having chest pains and shortness of breath went to er pulse 137 but ekg and enzymes normal they admitted for 24 hrs sent me home and still having chest pains and shortness of breath the only thing they said was my thyroid was very high  what should i do ?

Ask for a heart cath--it's the gold standard in making sure everything is proper with your heart. I had a similar situation, and I had to keep pushing them until they finally agreed to do this for me. Make sure they check for spasms of your aorta, too--just to be safe. Hope this helps!
