Q: is this a heart attack or seizure???

Crymy dad had what we thought was a heart attack, but there was no cardiac enzymes present in his lab work. He has a history of seizures and when this happens he has chest pains, numbness in his left side that radiates down to his leg, slouches when he walks and drags his feet, becomes weak, when he speaks his words are very faint and hard to hear then he passes out. There is no jerking, but loss of bodly function from the bladder.  Is this a seizure instead of cardiac?? He had a heart cath done and it was normal, menaing no blockage, holes anything wrong with his heart or damage.

Hi Babygirl107,

If a heart attack was ruled out based on several different tests, I would have to agree with your physician that it was not a heart attack.  The symptoms you describe sound a lot like a stroke or a TIA, but these would have to be ruled out or diagnosed by a physician. I am not certain if a seizure can give the type of symptoms that you describe. I encourage you to speak with your Dad's physician about the possible diagnoses and treatment options.

Best of luck,
