Q: I'm taking lotrel 10/20 can I take cardizem 240 mg?

what is the difference of cardizem 240 mg and lotrel 10/20 >? can they replace one another?

My wife takes cardizem 240 mg and I take lotrel 10/20. Is there a big difference between these 2 medicines? do they offer the same result?

Hi Acarvalho,

 

I do not recommend using these medication interchangeably.  Cardizem is a calcium channel blocker.  Lotrel is a combination of calcium channel blocker and an ace inhibitor.  I recommend discussing your options with your physician.
