Q: Is there Insurance Coverage after a Hearth Attack and Surgery

Can someone guide me please.  I have an uncle who just suffered a heart attack, thank God he came out of surgery fine but had no health insurance.  He was too busy caring for his family and home and was about to get insurance when the unexpecxted happened.  Is there such an insurance company that will cover him after this?  Thank you.

Hi Highland,

You should consult with the hospital that is treating your uncle (ex. social worker, case manager, etc.) to see what his options may be at this point.  In addition, this website http://www.healthcare.gov/ and this webpage link on the healthcare.gov website:  http://www.healthcare.gov/law/provisions/preexisting/index.html may help him to explore his potential coverage options and learn more about the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan.  Good luck and best wishes for a quick recovery.
